Job Description We are actively recruiting for an experienced Resident Maintenance Technician to join us in supporting a dedicated customer site at Erith. The position will form part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining and repairing Dematic installed automation equipment. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting the automated materials picking and handling system installed at the site. We offer: Career Development Competitive Compensation and Benefits Pay Transparency Global Opportunities Learn More Here: https://www.dematic.com/en-us/about/careers/what-we-offer/ Tasks and Qualifications: Tasks and Qualifications: Key Responsibilities: Carry out automated material handling and equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals To undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and industry standard practices Diagnosis of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times To ensure the quality of output at all times To accurately record all work undertaken Involvement in continuous improvement and sales opportunities To ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations To adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company Qualifications & Experience: ONC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Preferably a recognised engineering apprenticeship A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings Willingness to work shifts including days, nights and weekends Basic understanding of control systems and techniques Basic understanding of PLC equipment Experience working at height Previous experience in working with various conveyor systems IT literacy Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry would be desirable but not essential KION brands keep the world moving – globally, regionally, and locally.
