Closing Date 2025-12-15 Job Title: Maintenance Technical Training & Quality Manager Location: Durrington/Falmer (Hybrid Working) Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) About the Role At Southern Water, we’re on a mission to empower our maintenance teams with the skills and confidence they need to keep our assets running safely and efficiently. We’re looking for a Technical Training & Quality Manager who will lead the way in shaping our technical training strategy for Water Asset Maintenance teams, and ensuring quality standards across the board. What you will be responsible for: Be the go-to person for apprentices – providing guidance, support, and a single point of contact as they progress through their training. Own and redesign our training and competency framework – ensuring it’s fit for purpose and aligns technical skills with business needs. Lead technical training initiatives – from identifying skills gaps to implementing innovative development programs. Champion quality assurance – auditing work, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Collaborate across the business – working with managers, training providers, and subject matter experts to deliver best-in-class training solutions. Additional Requirements: Participation in incident support rotas may be required and will be discussed during the interview process.
