Maintenance and project work requires detailed planning to identify the different steps, materials, equipment, and labour that will be required for optimal intervention, with prevention and worker health and safety at the forefront. Working closely with other planners, Operations and Maintenance Coordinators, trade supervisors and the scheduler, you will plan all work related to the operation of a 137,000 barrels per day refinery that produces gasoline, distillates, asphalt, heavy fuel oil, petrochemicals, solvents and a feedstock for lubricants. This role is critical to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, optimizing resource productivity, and ensuring alignment with safety and operating standards at our Montreal refinery. Minimum Requirement: *Fluent in French – please submit your resume in French * 5+ years of planning experience/scheduling; maintenance and/or reliability experience in Oil and Gas industry Mechanical trade certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent technical and operational experience Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP) and material management systems Excellent ability to evaluate tasks and establish their order of execution. Good technical knowledge of material and part requirements. Special knowledge of the construction trades as well as prevention in work planning Proficiency in functional English Versatility and availability Responsibilities: Plan major shutdown projects or work and, if necessary, routine maintenance work. Visit workplaces to identify specific hazards associated with the work and develop safe execution plans to reduce them. Interact with the Operations, Engineering and Maintenance departments, particularly for preventive maintenance, in order to make appropriate corrections and repair methods to problems identified in the work lists. Evaluate tasks and establish the order of work steps in an efficient manner in order to maximize the use of the workforce according to its versatility and determine the tasks of each person. Make reservations and purchases for the materials needed to carry out the work. Identify the needs of service providers and take steps to ensure their availability and ability to carry out the mandates entrusted to them. Develop standard task plans that will be archived and reused for repetitive work. Support maintenance activities during unit shutdowns during extended work schedules Apply OEMS practices to all maintenance-related operations, ensure compliance with Suncor's safety and operational integrity standards, and identify opportunities related to environmental, health and safety requirements Use judgment and initiative in analyzing data obtained from various sources and be able to identify and report adverse cost conditions from the data collected.
