A well-established property management company is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a Section 42 apartment community located in Elgin, IL.

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure that the community’s apartments, buildings, and grounds are safe, clean, and well-maintained. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing quality service to residents.

Responsibilities:

• Complete work orders and service requests in a timely, professional manner
   
• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
   
• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
   
• Maintain the appearance and safety of common areas and grounds
   
• Assist with unit turnovers, inspections, and emergency maintenance needs
   
• Ensure compliance with all safety and housing program requirements
   

 Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance experience in a multifamily or residential property required  
• Experience working with Section 42 (LIHTC) or other affordable housing communities preferred  
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities  
• Must be available for on-call rotation as needed
