Current vacancies:

· 1 Permanent, Whole-time vacancy (1.0 WTE 35 hours a week) in Dublin South and Wicklow. This post is based in Bray Primary Care Centre, Co. Wicklow and travel to other clinics across Dublin South and Wicklow may be required to fulfil the duties of the post.

Panels may be formed by IHA area as a result of this campaign for Dental Surgeon, Senior from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled for IHA Dublin South/Wicklow, IHA Carlow/Kilkenny/South Tipperary and IHA Waterford/Wexford. Please note, the lifespan of this panel is dependent on the new restructuring within the HSE.

Purpose of the post

The role involves the provision of comprehensive dental care to priority groups and individuals.

This senior clinical role integrates high quality treatment delivery with operational management responsibilities, supporting the Principal Dental Surgeon and Senior Administrative Dental Surgeons in service development. The role will additionally involve undertaking further projects and responsibilities as they arise, at the discretion of the Principal Dental Surgeon.

SDS post in Dublin South and Wicklow:

The duties to be assigned to the officer appointed to this specific post will include responsibility under the general direction of the Principal Dental Surgeon for

· Provision of Oral Surgery Services to eligible patients, including provision of treatment under Local Anaesthesia, Sedation and/or General Anaesthesia
