Immediate Vacancies for Overhead Line Workers Advantage NRG is urgently seeking 8 skilled and experienced Overhead Line Workers to commence work immediately on a significant project in Ireland. This initial 8-week project is expected to lead to further opportunities within the company, offering long-term prospects for the right candidates. Project Scope: The scope of works for this project is diverse and includes, but is not limited to: Down leads installation and maintenance. Removal of conductors. Transferring of conductors. Essential Requirements: All applicants must hold a British passport or possess British citizenship to be considered for these roles. Ideal candidates will be able to: Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly as part of a dedicated team, ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient repair, maintenance, and installation of overhead power lines. High Standards: Consistently maintain a very high standard of work from project inception to completion, reflecting our commitment to excellence. Productivity and Efficiency: Be acutely mindful of productivity targets and project timescales, ensuring all client objectives are met or exceeded. Site Management: Maintain a high level of housekeeping across all work sites, within welfare facilities, and company vehicles, promoting a clean and organized work environment. Plant Operation: Competently operate various items of plant specifically appropriate to the Overhead Line (OHL) industry, demonstrating proficiency with relevant machinery. Interpersonal Skills: Engage positively with all site operatives, fostering healthy and mutually respectful working relationships. Instruction Adherence: Diligently follow instructions provided by Supervisors and Client Engineers, ensuring all tasks are executed according to specifications. Problem-Solving: Overcome simple rigging and mechanical problems independently, while strictly adhering to established Work Instructions and Method Statements. Safety Inspections: Undertake daily pre-use inspections on all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fall arrest equipment, ensuring all gear is in safe working order. Emergency Response: Confidently carry out tower rescue procedures when necessary, demonstrating preparedness for critical situations.
