We are looking for a Legal and Privacy Counsel/Manager to join our UK & Ireland team. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of post-qualification experience who is ready to take on broader responsibilities and grow steadily over the next few years. Your Role As part of our Legal team, you’ll: Provide legal support to our UK & Ireland Commercial Operations. Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including those involving healthcare professionals and organisations. Advise on UK data privacy matters, including data processing records, DPIAs and DSARs. Support product-related initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory, Medical, Finance, and Group Legal. Receive guidance and mentorship from the Senior Legal Director, with opportunities to expand your scope over time. What You’ll Bring Essential: A recognised legal qualification (e.g. LLB or equivalent). Some experience working in a legal role, either in-house or in private practice. A good understanding of UK data protection laws and GDPR. Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Strong communication and organisational skills. A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn. Preferred: UK solicitor qualification. Familiarity with the ABPI Code of Practice or experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector. Experience with the One Trust platform. Interest in developing broader legal and compliance capabilities. Why Ipsen?
