Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the post The subject area of Social Work is part of an interdisciplinary School within the Faculty of Health Sciences. The School of Psychology and Social Work brings together social work, psychology, clinical psychology and CBT therapists delivering a range of degree programmes at undergraduate, apprenticeship and postgraduate levels. The post holder will principally work as part of the social work team engaging in the education and training of social work students. There may be some cross-disciplinary teaching. The post holder will be actively involved in curriculum planning and contribute to the supervision, teaching and assessment of social work students at qualifying and post qualifying levels, including practice education. Detailed knowledge of contemporary issues in the social work profession and higher education is essential. Experience of adult social care and / or social work and substance use is desirable.
