Buyer mission is to provide quality, on-time Steam & Gas Turbine parts at the best cost to ensure GE can offer the best Solutions to customers Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Drive sourcing and procurement activities on assigned commodities to deliver a competitive advantage and apply best practices towards operational excellence. Drive supply base to 100% on-time delivery. Work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive cost, delivery, quality, and supplier development Ensure supplier qualifications are complete to ensure fulfillment, cost out & single source supplier reduction. Maintain accurate cycle times, drive cycle reductions on key parts for positive cash & inventory. Manage and facilitate daily/weekly conference calls with suppliers Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in Sourcing). Desired Characteristics Experience with SAP ERP tools Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Relevant sourcing or equivalent experience. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
