ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is looking to hire a Junior QA Engineer to join their team on a 2 year placement opportunity. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful technology projects. You will collaborate with technical specialists and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver reliable, user-focused solutions that meet the needs of both internal users and the public. ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Quality Assurance Team as a Junior QA Engineer. While 1–2 years of testing experience is preferred, a strong interest in software quality is essential. As a Junior QA Engineer, you’ll receive ongoing support from our Senior QA Engineers and QA Leads throughout the software testing lifecycle. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the CDI environment, gradually building your skills in both functional and non-functional testing. SOME THINGS YOU’LL BE WORKING ON: Work with the QA leads and QA teams across the business and CDI to meet programme testing goals. Assist QA Lead in creating test plans for various applications. Work with SMEs, business analysts, product owners and devs to capture business processes followed by the design and build of test scripts across multiple applications within CDI. Assist in creating and maintaining regression/smoke test packs for various applications across CDI. Analyse requirements (epics/user stories) to help create test estimates and schedules. Carry out daily functional test execution across a range of projects and infrastructures. Own defect recording and management. Work within defined QA and development processes to ensure quality standards are met. Learn and apply Agile testing concepts and methodologies. Contribute to improving testing practices and processes. Monitor progress against personal goals, escalating issues where appropriate.
