Purpose of the job
We are looking for a motivated and curious Junior Product Owner to support the development and improvement of our digital products.
You will assist in defining user needs, managing the product backlog, and coordinating with technical and business teams. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn how to connect business and technology in an international environment.

1. Vision and goal setting
- Support the Product Owner in translating business goals into product objectives and features.
- Contribute to defining clear problem statements and user stories that reflect customer needs.
2. Collaboration and inspiration- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand priorities and collect feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and align on delivery goals.
- Build strong working relationships within the product and technology teams.
3. Backlog management and prioritization- Assist the Product Owner in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Ensure user stories are well-defined, actionable, and align with product objectives.
4. Requirement and roadmap development- Support requirement gathering, documentation, and validate the deliverables from the analyst team.
- Help prepare product documentation using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Contribute to defining the product roadmap and sequencing of backlog items.
5. Reporting and monitoring- Support the Product Owner in tracking progress against sprint and product goals.
- Assist with preparing status updates and reports for stakeholders.
- Help identify potential delivery risks and improvement opportunities.
6. Subject matter expertise and mentoring- Stay informed about digital trends and innovations in the airline industry.
- Contribute to team discussions, share learnings, and actively develop product management skills.
7. Compliance- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and standards in the development and management of products.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- At least 2 years of product ownership experience in the Airline industry
- Good understanding of DCS (Departure Control Systems)
- Prior experience in Airline self-service check-in process
- Awareness of APIs and integration concepts (REST, JSON, XML)
- Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, SoapUI, Jira, Confluence
- Good knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- A proactive and learning mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)- Experience in delivering complex digital product in a global organization
- Awareness of IATA initiatives such as NDC, One Order, One ID etc
- Interest in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS) and data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Certification or coursework in Agile, Scrum, or Product Management
- Experience or interest in working within an international team
