Inzpire's Mission Systems Operation Business Unit (OBU) delivers GECO, the world’s most advanced mission support system, which provides enhanced situational awareness throughout the military air mission cycle via a highly successful and award-winning multi-platform solution.  ROLE PURPOSE   Leading the Mission Systems OBU to grow business, increase profitability and evolve the products and services offered in line with the Company's objectives and priorities. Providing the strategic leadership, coordination and implementation of long-term frameworks, planning processes and high performing environments to deliver overall company success and financial performance. Contributing to the wider governance and running of the business as a key member of the Inzpire Leadership Team, working collaboratively across the OBUs and Functions to evolve the organisation and meet our collective goals. Representation of the business externally through senior stakeholder engagement and negotiation.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES    Driving innovative programmes to grow the customer base and increase market share within our chosen sectors. Overseeing the delivery of long term successful commercial solutions that meet the needs of our customers, shareholders, and people.   Conducting robust strategic financial and resource planning to meet the 5-year ISP.  Managing budgets, resources, and costs within delegations to increase profitability and the return on sales. Driving the awareness and management of key risks. Developing professional capability and competence for personnel within your areas of responsibility through appropriate professional experience, training and accreditation.  Managing performance and effectiveness, and implementing solutions for the professional development and/or improvement of your people. Maintaining the required levels of quality and customer satisfaction in your OBU outputs. Maintaining the highest standards of behaviour and integrity.  Support, communicate and role model the company’s vision, mission, behaviours and values to staff, customers, business partners, and stakeholders. Being an advocate for, and leader of, change and advancement across your OBU and Inzpire. Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within your OBU and the wider business.   EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS    Evidence of senior business leadership or the potential to operate at a senior business leadership level. Experience of the Defence and Security sector, and a credible understanding of the customer environments relevant to the Mission Systems OBU business, including associated commercial opportunities and constraints.  Experience of managing key external stakeholder relationships including strategic customers within environments relevant to the OBU.
