The Inventory Planning Manager owns and manages overall responsibility for inventory control, to include cycle counting processes, full physical inventory processes, purchasing, receiving, batch order creation and batch order processing, etc. Secondary responsibility for developing and executing manufacturing production plans and schedules to assure timely flow of materials and finished goods to meet demand for production. Responsibilities: Purchasing of materials, ingredients and packaging for the Knoxville facility. Source alternative suppliers for critical materials and ingredients. Serve as the point of contact between corporate supply chain and plant. Proper inventory control of materials, ingredients and packaging to ensure availability for production while at the same time minimizing downtime from "outages". Being the Plant Representative for Approval Routing Forms and initiator of New Item/Item Modification Checklists. Managing/championing projects and initiatives such as vendor changes, technology upgrades, etc. Initiating "change forms" for new packaging or ingredients, formula changes, label changes, etc. Leadership, management, and training of team to facilitate success with all of the above. Monitor new product or rework demands and work with Production Supervisors and Managers to effectively schedule around production demands Lead Receiving department Own traceability of all items in ERP system Partner with other Operations Leaders for efficient scheduling of Production for the Knoxville facility Produce required reports for Production Supervisors and Managers Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements and Qualifications: Proven experience leading and developing a high performing team to meet company standards and expectations. A minimum of five years of relevant experience including experience with total inventory control systems and processes and purchasing of raw materials and packaging. Experience in production planning - Food manufacturing a plus Prior experience in production scheduling. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in lieu of Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience in D365 and Power BI a plus. Limited travel and flexible work schedule required as needed
