Location: Wetherby Contract Type: Permanent Department: Sales & Commercial Salary: £27,800pa + Benefits Purpose of the Role As a key member of the area sales team, you will proactively contribute to achieving budgeted volume, revenue, market share, and profit targets. This role is central to managing and developing customer relationships, supporting both internal and external sales functions, and helping us become our customers’ supplier of choice. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers to maximise sales through volume, revenue, and product mix. Proactively generate new business using tools such as Barbour ABI, LinkedIn, and internal reports on closed, lapsed, and new accounts. Manage area accounts using sales tools (e.g., 5-minute planners, CMPs), ensuring all customer interactions are recorded in Arvensis and/or CRM. Provide end-to-end account management, including handling queries and complaints. Follow up on quotes promptly, maintaining records of wins and losses, and archiving completed quotes. Support bid administration for local government and major contracts in collaboration with TSMs, Bid Teams, and other departments. Work with the cash sales team to qualify and price opportunities accurately. Maintain and manage reports such as GZ and ancillary pricing. Assist with special projects and contribute to area team meetings as required. Qualifications & Skills A good level of education (GCSEs / A-levels / Diploma). Working knowledge of standard software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office). Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
