POSITION FUNCTION: The Coordinator assists the manager or senior manager with the development and delivery of overall operations and outcomes of the Scam Awareness project with an emphasis on quality assurance and supervision of staff and volunteers. The Coordinator works with internal, community, agency, and funding partners. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and implement deliverables stipulated in contracts; inform the manager of achievement of contractual outcomes for the program, project, or service; prepare regular reports for the manager on the achievement of quality standards Remain current with CARF standards relevant to the program, project, or service Maintain knowledge of trends, protocols, and procedures essential for the operation of the special focus of the program or project May secure program or project providers, sponsors, and/or partners Develop and implement a marketing/engagement plan, if required Ensure the collection and preparation of project information in a format suitable for submission to department management, funders, consultants, and partners Promote and develop team‐building strategies among staff, volunteers, and partners Ensure development and maintenance of systems, procedures, and practice standards Assist in the management of finances, resources, and the development of project/program budgets Participate in the development of the budget, review, and monitor cash flow and variance to ensure programs are meeting targets Purchase program resources and materials within the approved budget Authorize expenses within the coordinators’ limit Ensure the use of proper procedures for program billing and accounts receivable, and work with the operations department to ensure systems are in place Participate in partnership, departmental, all-staff, and relevant industry meetings, in-service training, and other training Prepare statistical reports for internal planning purposes Other Duties as assigned by the manager QUALIFICATIONS: Post-secondary degree, certificate, or diploma in social work, social justice, community services, psychology, or other social science or health-related discipline, or related experience, such as a combination of training and experience in the areas of social justice, violence prevention, the justice system, and a one-year minimum demonstrated experience in: working with immigrants, and refugees knowledge in the area of justice systems, and social injustices that are faced by immigrants, refugees, and other marginalized populations program development, coordination, and group facilitation Project planning, coordination, and management skills Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written English communication skills, proficiency in a second language will be considered an asset Highly organized with the ability to take initiative Group facilitation and presentation skills Proficient in MS Office suite, database, publishing software, Cultural awareness Problem-solving and analytical skills Able to work independently and with a team Tactful, discrete, diplomatic, patient, flexible A valid and satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required HOURS: Part-time, 14 hours per week, fixed-term contract ending May 31, 2026 The successful internal candidate may be permitted to work in a hybrid work model (a combination of in-office and remote work). The successful candidate must be able to commute to the Boundary office. This position may require the occasional ability to travel to other sites in the lower mainland for sessions or outreach work. COMPENSATION: $31.26 - 31.67 per hour BENEFITS: A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offers a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
