We’re looking for an Intermediate Designer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who blends creativity with precision, has a strong understanding of design within regulated industries, and wants to help shape the visual identity of a leading Canadian cannabis brand.
Position Summary
The Intermediate Designer is responsible for developing visually compelling designs that support our brand strategy and business objectives. You will work across multiple platforms — including packaging, digital, print, social, and in-store materials — while ensuring all creative complies with Health Canada’s cannabis marketing and packaging regulations.
You’ll collaborate with marketing and sales to translate ideas into designs that are engaging, consistent, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute creative concepts for packaging, marketing campaigns, and brand assets.
Design digital and print materials including product sheets, trade materials, social media assets, web graphics, and presentations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure visual consistency across all touchpoints.
Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring design quality and compliance with Health Canada regulations.
Prepare files for print production and coordinate with vendors as needed.
Support product launches with creative assets that align with brand and regulatory requirements.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to overall brand strategy.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field. Self-taught geniuses open to apply!
3–6 years of professional design experience with a strong understanding of branding, layout, and visual communication.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with Figma or other design tools is an asset.
Strong understanding of typography, layout, colour theory, and visual hierarchy.
Experience preparing print-ready and digital assets.
Knowledge of Health Canada’s cannabis advertising and packaging regulations is a strong asset.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
