Position Summary Job Status: Temporary Full Time (cover leave of absence) Job Title: Homemaker Hours of Work: 8:30 - 4:30 (Monday to Friday) Worksite: Tla’amin Health Start Date: September 15, 2025 Closing Date: September 22, 2025 at 4:30 pm Salary: $24.09 per hour Reports to: Home and Community Care RN or designate Reference: #2025-09-15-HM-TFT Internal Posting The successful applicant will be required to work in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement as well as the policies and benefits therein, in addition to all relevant Tla’amin Health policies and procedures. This position is open to applicants of all genders. Key Responsibilities Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Tla’amin policies, standards, practices and procedures as directed by the Home and Community Care Coordinator. Maintains confidentiality as required pertaining to members, clients, employees and general matters of the Nation. Based on Home & Community Care Nurse's assessment, implement homemaking duties Supports and assists the Home & Community Care Client by performing household tasks Flexible scheduling is required and based on Home & Community Care Nurse's assessment and the client need Acts as a liaison for individuals in the Home & Community Care program and TCHS Maintains accurate records of daily tasks, routine, and clients served Performs other duties as required Qualifications Basic First Aide & CPR certificate Current Food Safe Certificate Current TB Test Successful Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check Class 5 BC Driver’s License + clean driver’s abstract Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Well developed communication, oral and written communication skills Thorough knowledge of the community and its resources Ability to prioritize and organize work Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in individual client homes. Occasional travel to attend meetings or training is required. This position may be required to work outside normal office hours depending on the needs of the individual clients.
