Responsibilities include working to designs/specifications, fabricating, and building specific to the Vehicle type/usage of our HGVs, ensuring that all elements are integrated correctly and safely to regulation.Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesTo actively contribute to the initial layout and fabrication of vehicle bodies and equipment from the chassis up prior to hand-over for painting and final fitting.To contribute and be key to the future design and development of vehicles and equipment.Working to high standards on new builds and new equipmentPerform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles in service when and where required.Involved in final Post Paint Assemble of equipment.Knowledge of vehicle body building (desirable), but not essential.QualificationsWhat will you bring to the team?Self-motivated, and the ability to work under your own instructionA good time keeperMust have a good understanding of plant and vehicle body building - desirable not essentialPrevious experience of vehicle body building not essential, however demonstrable experience in general fabrication is preferable.Be a good team playerWilling to undertake other duties as and where requiredGood practical ability working to high standard for new Builds to IVA specification/regulationIdeally you will hold a full UK Driving Licence (not essential)Workshop with full facilities and all tools and equipment will be providedAdditional InformationWorking HoursWorking hours are 8am to 5pm with a 30-minute lunch break, 2 x 15min morning/afternoon breaks, and overtime will be available and required occasionally depending on current workloads and targets.If you want to be part of our growing business, we will reward you with:£35,000 - £40,000 starting salary depending on experience + overtime available.
