You Stepping into your future - ready to learn, grow, and do meaningful work that matters. At IVC Evidensia, you’ll find a place where you can be yourself, supported by people who want to see you thrive. You’ll get hands-on experience, build your confidence, and discover just how far your passion can take you. Unlock Your Passions at Blue House Vets: Blue House Veterinary Centre is a small animal practice located in the lovely town of Biddulph in Staffordshire. Staffordshire is close to major international airports, motorways, and train links. It's also within an hour of many major cities, including Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Sheffield. Lots of local green spaces, close enough to Manchester for a night out. We have a supportive and friendly team of 7 Vets and 6 RVN’s, as well as a wonderful support and administrative team. We currently have one vet GDP adviser but that will become two before the position start date. We provide additional time on the diary for helping with VetGDP and progress reviews. You will become part of our team - we all work together to get the job done and provide a great service. We are inclusive and supportive - none of us are perfect but we will try to help however we can! We do plenty of social activities together such as Go Ape adventure, raise money for charity on a Mud Run, or go out for a pub quiz or meal. We think your opinions and ideas are important – open dialogue and discussion is encouraged for all team members, and we promise to listen and act where we can. We think you should be able to love the environment you work in - there aren’t many practices that look and feel like ours. We have a dedicated clinical office, 8 consulting rooms, euthanasia room, cat only waiting and ward (Cat friendly silver status), 2 full theatres plus dental theatre. We also have 2 staff kitchens / staff rooms including espresso machine, pool table, cross trainer and quiet room for a nap! As well as a staff shower if you want to cycle in or exercise at lunchtime. The environment is planned to emphasise wellbeing of staff and patients – large airy reception, consulting, and operating rooms with natural light throughout. We think you deserve to be proud of your practice - knowing we provide excellent care, great range and quality of equipment (including slit lamp, in house biochem and haematology, electrocautery, x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, multiparameter monitors amongst many others). Enjoy a welcoming environment with structured support and flexibility to suit your lifestyle. You will work 40 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days a week depending on preference. We know most people don’t want to do OOH, night checks, Sundays or bank holidays, so we don’t ask you to. Saturdays are 1 in 3 for our new graduates (as you will be working alongside another vet rather than sole charge), but we work towards 1 in 5 or 6 eventually. The Saturday mornings are worked alongside 2 receptionists, a RVN, and one other nursing team member (student, VCA or RVN) and only 8am - 1pm. But if you love Saturdays or it suits you better – let us know! You will be supported be a great team of experienced vets, nurses and client care who work together to support our new graduates - and each other. We currently have one vet GDP adviser but that will become two before the position start date. We provide additional time on the diary for helping with VetGDP and progress reviews. Our new grads have an initial induction period, after which you will move to 30-minute appointments with regular breaks, with no sole charge.
