Position Overview: The Digital Workplace Engineer plays a critical role in driving innovation, operational efficiency, and end-user satisfaction across the organization’s workplace environment. This position requires a leader with the technical expertise, strategic vision, and executional capability to deliver world-class digital workplace solutions. The role is vital in ensuring seamless collaboration, productivity enhancement, and the highest security standards for our multi-regional teams. Key Responsibilities: Implementation & Continuous Improvement: Spearhead the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of workplace software and hardware solutions. Collaboration Across Teams: Work with global, regional, and local teams to align operational capabilities with overarching corporate strategies. End-User Resource Optimization: Architect and optimize end-user resources (hardware, software, and access), with a focus on auditing, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Microsoft Productivity Tools: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Microsoft productivity tools, including Office 365 services. Asset Management & Automation: Drive operational excellence in end-user asset management through automation, rigorous security, and auditing practices. Technical Issue Resolution: Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical issues within Microsoft Workplace applications, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor performance metrics, provide actionable insights through advanced reporting, and implement optimization initiatives. Training Program Development: Develop and execute impactful training programs to empower employees in advanced workplace tool usage. Emerging Technologies Evaluation: Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate transformative solutions to enhance organizational productivity. Vendor Relationship Management: Strategically manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of premium services. Documentation & Process Standardization: Standardize and refine documentation of workplace processes at the regional level, contributing to global operational frameworks. Workplace Strategy Implementation: Guide countries in implementing workplace strategies, co-developing tailored solutions aligned with organizational standards. ITIL Process Leadership: Champion ITIL processes across service management activities and enforce adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain service excellence. Core Competencies: Proven Expertise: Minimum of 5 years in workplace engineering, managing complex, multi-regional environments, with a demonstrated success in delivering impactful solutions. Technical Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 productivity tools, endpoint management solutions (Intune, Tanium preferred), ITIL v4 frameworks, and scripting for process automation. Leadership: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams across geographies. Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, driving innovation and challenging the status quo to achieve business objectives. Adaptability: Thrive in dynamic, multicultural environments with a relentless commitment to client satisfaction and operational excellence. Project Management: Proven ability to manage initiatives from conception to execution, delivering measurable outcomes on time and within budget. ITSM Workflows: Mastery of ITSM workflows and tools, particularly ServiceNow, for seamless incident, problem, and change management. Windows OS & Endpoint Security: Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, patch management, endpoint security, and data protection regulations. Automation Tools: Extensive experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Power Automate) to optimize workplace processes. End-User Deployment: Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable, secure end-user deployments. Soft Skills: Stress and Priority Management People and Resource Management Team Collaboration Skills (including remote teams) Client Focus / Customer Satisfaction Adaptability in Multi-Cultural Environments Project Management Skills (a plus) Strong Leadership & Influencing Skills Quick Decision-Making 3rd Party Supplier Management: SLA, KPI, and Operations Delivery Control. Knowledge / Experience: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Hardware Infrastructure. Proficiency in troubleshooting Microsoft workplace applications and developing plans for end-user deployments and technical support processes. Familiarity with ITIL v4 best practices and implementing change management processes. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Proactive, self-motivated, with a passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest Microsoft technologies. Work Experience Requirements: 5+ years of proven experience managing Microsoft productivity tools and technologies, including Office 365 and Power Tools.
