Key Responsibilities Motor control is a cornerstone of modern robotics and automation. Precise, efficient, and reliable motor control directly impacts the performance, safety, and versatility of robotic systems—from collaborative robots on factory floors to autonomous vehicles and precision medical equipment. As robotics advance, the demand for innovative motor control solutions that can deliver higher accuracy, robustness, and energy efficiency continues to grow. At Analog Devices, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in motion control by leveraging our latest technologies in signal processing, sensing, and embedded systems. The goal during this internship is to design an innovative motor control solution using Analog Devices’ newest technology. By the end of the internship, the developed system will be showcased to our customers to highlight Analog Devices’ technological advantages and demonstrate the unique value we can bring to their demanding applications. As a Field Applications Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our experienced Field Applications team to: Develop a Motorized Axis with FOC BLDC Controller, AMR Encoder, and Control GUI Your mission will be to design and develop a complete motorized axis system, featuring: A BLDC motor (Brushless DC Motor) controlled by Field Oriented Control (FOC) algorithms An AMR magnetic encoder (Anisotropic Magneto-Resistive) for position sensing A graphical user interface (GUI) for system control and monitoring Your Main Responsibilities will be : Hardware and software design of the motorized axis system (component selection, prototyping using evaluation boards) Tuning of the FOC algorithm on our BLDC controller Integration of the AMR encoder for accurate position measurement and processing Development of a GUI (PC-based or embedded) for axis control, configuration, and data visualization Testing, validation, and documentation of the complete system Qualifications & Skills Final-year engineering school or Master’s student (specialization in electronics, embedded systems, or equivalent) Knowledge of electronics, motor control, microcontrollers, and embedded programming (C/C++) Basic experience with graphical user interface development (e.g., Python, or equivalent) Team player, rigorous, curious, and autonomous Good technical English skills Why Join Us?
