Line of Service Assurance Industry/Sector Technology Specialism Assurance Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary The role In Digital Audit you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across financial services. You will focus on enabling audit teams to understand financial data flows and the supporting IT systems and controls. You’ll need to be a people person, tenacious and resilient. You’ll need to be able to flex your style and the level of detail you discuss with different audiences in IT and finance, as for example you’ll have exposure to a range of contacts such as heads of IT or finance controllers and directors to understand the financial data flows and test IT systems and controls. You’ll be checking IT systems to ensure they are appropriately controlled by management and to check that data produced is accurate, highlighting and questioning any differences. It's investigative work where you’ll regularly speak with clients, using in-person meetings or leading-edge collaborative technology. You’ll be part of a variety of teams, taking real responsibility for the work, you do. What your days will look like: Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above, establishing effective working relationships directly with clients, and continuing to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand. Train, coach and lead junior staff, developing new skills outside of your comfort zone, coaching others, recognising their strengths, and encouraging them to take ownership of their personal development. Contribute to the development of your own and the team’s technical acumen, keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues, and developing a point of view on key global trends and how they impact clients. Act to resolve issues that prevent the team working effectively, addressing sub‑standard work, using data and insights to inform conclusions, and upholding the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct. Analyse complex ideas or proposals, building a range of meaningful recommendations, simplifying complex messages, and using multiple sources of information — including broader stakeholder views — to develop solutions and recommendations. Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus, creating positive outcomes for all parties and supporting effective decision‑making across engagements.
