Job Details Job Location: Boca Raton, FL 33496 Summary: Delivers food to the correct table and to the correct member and ensures members and guests have an excellent dining experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; Ensures that food is delivered to the correct member at the correct table. Ensures that all items that were ordered are served. Communicates with the kitchen, Servers and the Dining Room Manager regarding issues with food delivery to the tables. Stocks expediting station on a regular basis and/or as needed. Ensures familiarity with the floor plan, table and position numbers. Completes all opening, closing and running side work throughout the shift. Services secondary items as requested such as refilling water, bread basket, sauces, butter and buses table as necessary. Uses member’s name whenever possible. Adheres to ServSafe rules, regulations and standards. Leaves work area organized and clean and ready for next shift. Communicates with members, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner. Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions. Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor and grooming standards to reflect a positive image of The Polo Club. Performs other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be knowledgeable of all food items on the menu, their descriptions and ingredients. Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing. Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English. Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers and members. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to members and guests. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: No requirements. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Serve Safe Food Handlers certificate.
