Purpose of the Role As Finance Business Partner you’ll prepare timely and accurate financial information related to business unit performance and deliver advice and guidance to the business leaders in support of the achievement of financial targets and adherence to finance policies. You’ll partner with business stakeholders to understand short, medium and long-term resource and investment requirements and impact on forecasts/budgets. You’ll present a range of financial plans to business stakeholders, providing strategic advice and insight to enable business partners to make key decisions and achieve targets. Key Responsibilities Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles for allocated cost, profit or investment centres, partnering with business stakeholders to understand short, medium and long-term resource requirements and preparing budget/forecast reporting packs including variance analysis and meaningful commentary Liaison between business and operational finance colleagues to identify, communicate and review month end income and cost journals including preparation of the monthly reporting packs including variances analysis and meaningful commentary Ongoing close monitoring and management of spend, providing regular reports and insights and working with other functional teams to manage key business contracts Review and approval of travel proposals, job requisitions, contracts and purchase orders, ensuring adherence to policies and financial considerations Supporting analysis of projects/initiatives to improve profitability/margin and actively managing balance sheet opportunities and risks Providing other financial information, support and insight as required by business or finance leaders to enable informed decision making Qualifications + Skills Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CA etc) with large international company experience Management reporting / budgeting / forecasting experience with strong commercial acumen and proven capability to communicate financial performance to senior stakeholders Excellent excel skills; experience with D365 is an advantage Organised, able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines with a strong ability to self-manage Excellent attention to detail, communication and relationship skills; confident working across different functions and levels of seniority Enthusiastic, confident and a team player with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to understand the bigger picture What we offer This is a Fixed Term Contract role.
