Here at UPP we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Management Assistant to join our team. The Facilities Management Assistant will be responsible for operating the Reception Desk, and a computerised system that controls real time helpdesk monitoring for reactive and planned maintenance work. This is a permanent, zero hours position working as facilities management assistant offering shifts as and when available based on business needs - perfect for those looking for flexibility and variety in their schedule. Role responsibilities include: Provide an excellent and comprehensive reception service to the residence and to the offices; keep records of all visitors, contractors and issue keys when required Assist the relevant manager(s) in the co-ordination of all on-site activities and day to day administration plus complete all regular reporting Carry out regular walks of the residence and grounds, monitoring and reporting any security/safety issues to the relevant manager Monitor the conduct of students, encouraging reasonable and fair behaviour, reporting any breach of the Code of Conduct and license agreement Manage and monitor out of hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures and any relevant residence instructions Liaise, as necessary, with other UPP staff, university clients, sub-contractors, residents and conference delegates We are looking for you to have experience in a similar role and environment with great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail, the passion to do a great job and work as part of a team to support the smooth operations across the site. You will also be flexible to work (with notice) additional hours when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends. Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory vetting, inclusive of employment referencing covering the past three years and you may be subject to additional vetting and barring checks to ensure your suitability for the role, which could include completing a basic DBS.
