[What the role is] You will be part of the team to plan for Singapore's energy infrastructure to meet growing energy demands taking into account energy security and sustainability. You will be working closely with Government Agencies (MTI, MND, MINDEF, URA, SLA, JTC, HDB, EDB, SFA, LTA, PUB, IMDA, NEA, NPark, etc) on the forward planning of land needs for energy infrastructures, as well as the Transmission Licensee (SP PowerGrid) to plan and implement the energy infrastructure projects. There are 2 main parts: [What you will be working on] Part 1: Energy Infrastructure Development Focusing on the planning and development of key energy infrastructure, including the key facilities (HVDC station, HVAC station, switching station, cables, etc) for electricity imports, the development of the energy clusters (Power plants, Carbon Capture, Energy Storage, Hydrogen), electricity and gas network planning (electricity cables, tunnels/ducts, Gas pipelines, transmission substations, gas high pressure transmission offtake stations, etc). This also include the technical assessment and engaging consultantof greenfield sites for power plants. Part 2: Electricity Import Assessing and securing suitable landing sites, including determining feasible sea and land cable routes for electricity imports.
