Job Purpose This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of CEER’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System by ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting a proactive safety culture, and driving continuous improvement through training, risk assessments, inspections, and incident prevention initiatives. Key Functional Responsibilities: Support the implementation and maintenance of CEER’s HSE Management System in alignment with local regulations and company policies. Assist in ensuring all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations are up to date, communicated, and adhered to. Maintain and update the legal register for all relevant HSE aspects Conduct HSE inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors. Deliver safety training and awareness sessions across plant functions Conduct regular workplace inspections and hazard assessments Apply risk assessment and root cause analysis techniques to identify and mitigate risks. Assist in ensuring high-risk activities (e.g., chemical handling, electrical safety, confined spaces, working at heights) are controlled and compliant with safety protocols Review contractor readiness, including method statements, permits to work, lifting plans, and emergency procedures Monitor contractor compliance with CEER safety standards and procedures Assist in internal and external HSE audits and ensure timely closure of findings Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and near misses; conduct investigations and implement corrective actions Provide regular HSE performance reports to management and support continuous improvement initiatives Education Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in Safety Engineering or equivalent Experience 6 years minimum, 1 year in Leadership in a relevant field
