We’koqma’q Mi’kmaw School is seeking to fill a Elementary Teacher vacancy. Location: We’koqma’q Mi’kmaw School Job type: Full time/Regular Start date: October 20, 2025 Salary: According to the We’koqma’q Teacher Salary Scale. The Teacher will be responsible for the supervision and evaluation of all students within their teaching assignment. The Teacher will demonstrate a strong commitment to planning to support student achievement and work collaboratively in a team environment. REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Knowledge of Mi’kmaq language and culture an asset Valid NS teacher certification; Teaching experience an asset; Knowledge and experience with application of technologies to enhance instruction and learning (ie: google classroom, etc); Knowledge and experience implementing inclusive teaching strategies for students with academic and behavioral needs; Ability to work closely with TA’s to oversee and ensure appropriate educational programming; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent classroom and student management skills.
