We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Streetlighting Operative to join our dynamic Norfolk team. This role will be based on site at our Brooke Depot (NR15 1HJ).   In this role, you will support the Norfolk Streetlighting account by carrying out regular inspections and maintenance of streetlights to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely. This involves identifying and addressing any damage or hazards that could compromise performance, cleaning equipment, and performing necessary repairs.   What You’ll Do: · Participate in Amey's Annual Service Plan with Norfolk Council, ensuring streetlights are efficient and safe through maintenance and inspections, collaborating with various departments. · Inspect up to 68,000 streetlights regularly for damage or hazards affecting performance and safety. · Clean bollards and LED units, inspect equipment for deterioration, and perform necessary maintenance to meet safety standards. · Work at heights up to 12 meters, using appropriate safety gear for maintenance on elevated units. · Join a 1 in 3 callout rota for emergency repairs to quickly address urgent streetlighting issues, ensuring public safety. · Use a tablet to record inspection findings, create detailed reports, document conditions, and update the maintenance log for streamlined recordkeeping.   Why Join Us?
