Working week Monday – Friday 8.15am-3.30pm with 45 minute lunchbreak. 32.5 hours a week total Wage £7.55 per hour Qualification Early Years Educator level 3 Duration 18 months Training Provider: LMP Education Duties and Responsibilities Assist in delivering high quality early years education to children Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote children’s development Observe children’s progress and provide feedback to senior practitioners Build positive relationships with children, parents and staff Ensure the children’s safety and well-being at all times, following safeguarding policies and procedures Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship programme Contribute to a team that fosters positive, inclusive and engaging learning experiences Skills and Attributes A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents and colleagues Ability to listen actively and respond appropriately to children’s needs and queries Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and follow guidance from experienced practitioners A patient, empathetic and caring nature A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions Previous experience or a keen interest in early years education (desirable but not essential) A commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme and gaining qualifications Understanding of basic safeguarding principles and a commitment to ensuring children’s safety and well-being Ability to maintain a high standard of professional conduct, including punctuality, reliability and adherence to policies Education and Qualifications Maths and English at GCSE level A-C (4-9) or functional skills equivalent.
