Summary Reporting to the Area Vice President, the Director of Sales will be challenged with driving revenue growth through the development and implementation of new and innovative sales strategies. In this role, you will provide leadership in motivating, managing and evaluating the regional sales team members. You will help develop, implement and maintain a strategic sales plan while being responsible for all aspects of the sales operations in the region. This position will be a creative force in the development of new sales programs and initiatives for the region and will oversee their successful implementation. Job Duties Direct, motivate and coach the professional sales team to accomplish both company and individual objectives; advising them where needed through the sales process Create and monitor annual sales department benchmark and budgets Report on sales revenue forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis Direct sales activities with the region; set expectations, provide mentorship, prioritize efforts, hold the team accountable for building pipeline and executing each phase of the sales cycle Research and understand the market for GFL’s services, including competitor analysis Identify key market dynamics, create alliances and a relevant, dynamic and influential network Work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources; collaborate with operations, customer care, and marketing teams to create a seamless customer experience Requirements Strong knowledge of waste management industry and strong industry contacts Deep understanding of current market dynamics Passion for business excellence with exceptional follow through Ability to understand, articulate, and lead complex sales processes Compelling leader who can effectively coach and drive team motivation Effective at building senior and executive relationship with key customer stakeholders Strong analytic thinker with demonstrated command of metrics-driven sales model Strong career trajectory with a history of top performance in successive roles High professional and personal integrity with high ethical standards We thank you for your interest.
