About the Opportunity The Director of Legal Affairs EMEA transforms the region’s legal function into a proactive, strategic partner by strengthening in-house expertise, governance, and alignment with global standards while serving as both a key advisor to the EMEA business and a primary liaison to Global Legal to improve efficiency, compliance, and decision-making. Responsibilities Candidate Profile The Director of Legal Affairs EMEA is responsible for elevating the region’s legal capabilities from a primarily reactive model toward a proactive, strategic, and business-integrated function. This includes bringing additional legal expertise in-house, strengthening internal governance, and ensuring consistent adoption of global legal standards across EMEA. The role serves two primary purposes: Strategic legal partner to the EMEA business, providing guidance on major transactions, transformation initiatives, risk mitigation, and day-to-day commercial matters. Key liaison to the Global Legal function, ensuring strong collaboration, alignment with global frameworks, and effective communication between regions. Success is defined by improved legal efficiency, reduced external counsel reliance, strengthened compliance, enhanced business decision-making, and elevated partnership with Global Legal.
