As a 3.5T Delivery Driver based in Basildon you’ll be responsible for: Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within a 80 mile radius of the branch. On average 8 deliveries which will vary day to day. Mainly to new build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses. Carrying out vehicle checks. Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks. Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week (some flexibility may be available on hours). Monday to Friday between 07:30 - 17:00. Saturday working is required 08:00-12:00 noon on a rota basis, which is paid as overtime.
