Job Description Job Title: Decontamination Engineer Department: Service Reports To: Field Service Manager Location: Remote Overview: To provide pre & post sales technical support to customers on decontamination products. Responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance (including preventative), inspection testing and validation. Job Responsibilities: The role holder will be expected to be responsible for the following: Good communication is essential with our customer base to ensure user training is appropriately delivered for all products and all documents /completed as required by the Business. The responsibility of the Decontamination Engineer is to provide an efficient service to customers on all decontamination products and services and to resolve technical faults/issues in a timely manner, liaising with customers and support staff as required. Field Service - Installing, maintaining and diagnosing of equipment faults, using a tablet device and laptop provided for completion of job sheets and part numbers as required. Maintaining car kits provided in an orderly manner and carrying out stock takes as required by Inventory Management during each business year. Comply with all Company policies, procedures and objectives and perform other reasonable tasks outside of normal responsibilities. To leave the working site clean and tidy wherever possible. To behave as a good ambassador of the company at all times, so the customer will be happy to do further business. To liaise between Installation Supervisor, Salesman and Customer to resolve any unclear issues. Maintain good records of installations / Company equipment, tools, car, phone. Undertake cabinetry modifications / manufacturers warranty work. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required Ability to display tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers Job Skills & Experience Required: To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following: Minimum 3+ years electrical experience Certification of Electrical Installation work which includes practical experience. Recent experience of autoclave and washer disinfector maintenance is preferable Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems, x-rays, air and water systems.
