The Role The Deal Desk Analyst role is part of the Deal management organization that provides best-in-class operational analytics and support to Field Sales and Inside sales teams. The focus is to collaborate as an extension of the sales teams helping them hit or exceed their quarterly/annual targets in all aspects of the quote to contract process. The Deal Desk Analyst will be a part of a North American and Latin American team and will liaise, support, and collaborate with sales organizations and cross-functional teams globally to achieve quote to contract goals. The position requires an ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment with a customer success mindset. Your Impact This role works closely with global teams, Account Managers, Sales Operation and Sales Management in commercial offer management as an approver to ensure compliance with Approvals and Authorization policy and commercial components of a deal to support downstream contracts and fulfilment processes via CRM and other applicable systems as required. Follow internal business processes to solution and seek appropriate guidance/approvals to resolve situations that deviate from standard processes. Understand AspenTech commercial components of building a deal and how the financial elements intersect with the terms and conditions. Understand established revenue recognition company guidelines for both the quoting and contract process. Act as a trusted advisor to Sales to ensure that internal policies and processes that support the quote to contract process are carried out in accordance with current AspenTech procedures. Partner with internal cross-functional stakeholders and build relationships of trust with stakeholders. Provide subject matter expert guidance and act as internal deal advocate by supporting sales as needed on deals from quote to closing. Obtain basic knowledge and seek to understand product/services that AspenTech offers. Responsible to have advanced knowledge of tools required, identify system issues, and raise awareness to solve them. Provide guidance and act as internal Salesforce advocate related quoting and workflow process. Manage sales order requirements using our ERP system which supports Order Operations by input of key information required for software delivery to the customer (product, pricing, and licensing configuration, and customer data). Provide training to Sales organization as required of the quote to contract process and ensure they understand internal processes. Assist with roll-out of new information related to policy and procedure changes to Salesforce enhancement rollouts and/or improvements. Global deal management support to other regions as required. Leadership role in User-Acceptance testing on systems due to enhancements or improvements and applicable roll-out of training to Sales organizations and achieve subject matter expert status on roll-out and provide training to team and Sales as required. Assisting users in adopting new processes & Salesforce capabilities by producing documentation, presentations, and distributing recordings for reuse. Identifying and following through with creative solutions to problems presented by business stakeholders. Enhancing decision-making by collecting, analyzing and presenting data for management consumption and action. What You'll Need A logical thinker with proven problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to work autonomously to meet deadline and identify priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Suite products, with solid analytical skills. Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills to be effective across cross-functional teams. Dedicated to excellent customer service. Language requirements: English (required), second language skills would be advantageous but are not essential. Experience working on commercial contracts, commercial/technical proposals, order processing, sales forecasting systems, and/or ERP systems. Demonstrate self-initiative and leadership qualities. Strong relationship management (ability to train other people, deal with and manage the expectations of salespeople, and understand customers’ requirements, etc). Experience working in a fast-paced international sales environment in similar industry with sales operations background is preferred. Prefer expert knowledge of Salesforce (CRM) and Oracle (ERP System). HS diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
