Job Description: Provides collaborative support of area sales efforts through management and functional responsibility for showroom and its administrative activities. This includes direct sales contact with visitors to showroom; interface with dealers, designer, and influencers; and coordination of local customer relations efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS Manages all showroom administrative activities and ensures maintenance of showroom displays, sales support materials, files, and records to ensure current data, materials, and/or products and all showroom equipment is in operational order. Ensures showroom is client-ready at all times, including maintaining organized appearance of showroom products and overall space; coordinates custodial service for the showroom to maintain showroom appearance. Establishes best practices based on feedback from dealers and clients and review of other showrooms and outside trade events to improve and further client experience in the showroom. Supervises and leads members of area administrative/clerical support team to complete administrative tasks necessary for daily showroom operations. Greets visitors to showroom and serves as liaison between customers and sales members, including conducting and coordinating sales presentations and showroom tours to positively present AIS brand. Coordinates local customer relations events and/or trade shows, including readiness of showroom, catering, and marketing materials for clients to ensure positive showroom experience. Collaborates with and assists sales team with projects, maintaining, compiling, and distributing marketing materials and product samples to dealers, designers, influencers, and end-users to support selling effort and team needs; may assist sales team with proposals. Assists with area dealer development and support efforts by communicating information on events and products, assisting with scheduling dealer/client visits to showroom, and tracking/scheduling product loans to help them achieve goals. Builds and maintains positive, collaborating working relationships with sales team, customers, influencers, and dealer partners to drive organizational goals and objectives. Organizes and provides logistical support for training sessions and group meetings by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and arranging for technology or other equipment/meeting needs as requested for meeting efficiency. Receives, interprets, distributes, and responds to correspondence from corporate offices, dealers, other field offices and clients; provides liaison for various communications that affect daily business results. Works with external vendors, team members, and corporate members on branding sales support materials for distribution to clients and dealers. Collects data and prepares various reports as required for sales leadership and corporate personnel. Ensures accuracy and timeliness in preparing reports to meet area sales goals and objectives. Assists with communication and implementation of established policies, procedures, programs, and strategies to help drive team and corporate goals/objectives. Takes initiative to stay current on products and company strategies to address dealer, client, and member questions and assist with selling process. Utilizes personal computer (PC) and keyboard/mouse while performing functions of position. Occasionally travels away from field office, including overnight. Assist sales members with administration and monitoring of mockups and/or post-tour procedures to keep client visits organized and ensure positive client experience. QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communication or equivalent (equivalent is defined as equivalent degree OR job-specific work experience OR combination of education and job-specific work experience; two years job-specific work experience equals one year of formal education – NOTE: job-specific work experience used for education equivalency cannot also be used for work experience qualification). Work Experience Five years of office management experience or experience coordinating work of others in lead capacity. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience working in commercial interiors, contract furniture systems, commercial real estate, and/or architectural workplace solutions preferred. Skills and Knowledge Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong business acumen skills and ability to make decisions that are best for business. Proven ability to plan events and coordinate customer visits, including scheduling meetings and arranging catering requirements. Strong technical skills to create and deliver influential client presentations. Ability to occasionally travel away from field office, including overnight. PC and keyboard/mouse skills required; technically proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications (i.e., Microsoft Office) and internet, with ability to learn and utilize AIS systems as required.
