Data Integrity Officer Application Deadline: 5 January 2026 Department: Data Integrity - Operations Employment Type: Full Time Location: London, UK Compensation: £38,000 - £42,000 / year Description We are currently looking for a detail orientated Data Integrity Officer to join our team. The purpose of the role is to protect the integrity of the Cifas databases through carrying out reviews and analysing trends in the data searched and filed to the Cifas databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing consumer complaints, in line with Data Protection legislation including assessing Cifas processes to improve the quality of data within our databases. Please note that interviews for this role will be conducted in our London office, near Euston Station, on Monday 12th January 2026. Closing date for applications is Monday 5th January 2026. Key Responsibilities Provide knowledge and guidance to Cifas members on our data processes to ensure a positive member experience and building upon the trust & confidence our members have with our services. Responsible for resolving consumer complaints consistently while ensuring professional and values-based representation of Cifas. Accountable for reviewing cases and matches to ensure the standard of proof has been met. Responsible for escalating Consumer Data Subject Access Requests and ensuring compliance with legislation. Proactively identifying issues and their root causes within Cifas databases, carrying out continuous improvement reviews, to ensure quality of data is to a high standard. Identify patterns within the data, highlighting these to relevant parties to ensure appropriate action and resolution. Making recommendations for process improvements. Working in collaboration with colleagues across Cifas, review and request appropriate management Information to identify patterns and anomalies in data. Accountable for reviewing members’ Fair Processing Notices to ensure data filed to the database with any areas of concern communicated within a timely manner. Responsible for communicating and engaging stakeholders in response to any requests, ensuring the facts are clearly articulated and reflective of Cifas policy. Accountable for making appropriate considered decisions on cases filed, complaints received, DSARs processed and FPNs obtained, clearly articulating the rationale for the decision back to the member or consumer in line with agreed service levels. Represent DIO Team at Cifas projects and product development meetings, providing subject matter expertise from Data Integrity Operations. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise To be successful in this role, you will have: A degree level education or equivalent and/or relevant previous work experience. Extensive experience of working within a fraud prevention role in a professional organisation. Good level of understanding of the use of Cifas data, familiarity with financial crime, fraud prevention and Data Protection legislation. Detailed knowledge of Cifas Handbooks, systems and how members access Cifas data, is essential. Proven experience in working to agreed service levels and delivering against team targets working within agreed deadlines. Experienced in applying tenacity in the face of obstacles, with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to persuade influence and, when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy Confident ownership of information and processes, while proactively seeking opportunity to learn. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, having a ‘can-do’ attitude, using sound judgment and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. High level of personal integrity, empathy, and professionalism with a creative, analytical thinking style and proven investigative skills Excellent skills in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
