Who we're looking for As a Data Engineer you will be working as part of an agile team to deliver solutions to our clients ensuring they get maximum value from their data. We play to people’s strengths, and you can expect to be hands-on, providing the opportunity for you to utilise and continually develop your existing technical and project skills to deliver high quality solutions. We work with a Winning from Anywhere® approach but there is an element of travel to client sites when required, along with travel to our company conference and events. What you'll be delivering Delivering full life cycle solutions to our clients, from data acquisition, engineering, modelling, analysis, and visualisation. Running workshops with clients gathering information and communicating with clients on both a business and technical level. Designing and implementing robust ETL/ELT solutions in the Microsoft/Azure stack (Fabric/Databricks). Designing and implementing data lakehouse solutions with a medallion design approach. Engineering scalable solutions to satisfy our clients current and future needs. Migrating on-premises data solutions to the cloud. Reports, Dashboards and Analysis using tools such as Power BI to help our clients visualise their data and present it to the wider business. The continued support and development of a data solution following go live. We think you'll be successful in this role if you have some of the following Proven ability to build strong relationships with teams and clients, fostering inclusion and collaboration. Hands-on experience in data engineering or data warehousing using Azure/Microsoft or SQL Server technologies. Skilled in designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines with tools like Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, or Fabric, using SQL and Python. Solid understanding of data lake architecture and medallion lakehouse design. Proficient in handling large, complex datasets from multiple sources. Strong SQL and Python skills, including stored procedures, notebooks, and query optimisation. Familiarity with Power BI, Analysis Services (MDX/DAX), and relevant certifications (e.g. DP-600, DP-700, Databricks).
