What will you do? Monitor cybersecurity consoles for threats and alerts, and respond accordingly Monitor ticketing systems and work with users to resolve computer security issues Operate, maintain, and support the security suite of tools and consoles Configure the security suite of tools in alignment with the Corporate policies, standards, processes, and procedures. This includes endpoint, mobile, server, and cloud technologies operated by the Corporate Information Security Office (C-ISO) Apply tools’ upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to vendors if required Reports significant trends, vulnerabilities, and security incidents Provides responsive support during normal working hours Reviews cybersecurity incident alerts, analyzes endpoint malware triage packages, and works with the MDR vendor to determine threat and impact levels Triage and resolve cybersecurity incident tickets and alerts Escalates security alerts and incidents to the appropriate support teams Work with senior staff to interpret, prioritize, and respond to cybersecurity threats After-hours support may be required (on call), following union regulations Seeks information on issues impacting the progress of organizational and process issues Utilizes a variety of information and data sources about organizational and professional trends Other related duties Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, in a related discipline and 1 year of relevant experience OR Post-secondary diploma in a related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience OR 1 year related certificate and 4 years relevant experience Assets: Completion of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other technology-specific certifications and diplomas related to the work is considered an asset Skills required for success: Working knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across computer platforms Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues within systems and solutions Some knowledge of scripting Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, and assessment skills with knowledge of cybersecurity, information risk management, incident management, cyber threats, and related technologies.
