Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years. The role: To offer flexible operator cover to the various production areas (Injection Moulding, Assembly and Extrusion) during high periods of demand and periods of employee absence. The main responsibilities within the areas may include packing, quality inspection and testing of moulded components, production bookings, assembly of various manufactured components and stock control. Main Responsibilities: The following responsibilities should be regarded as universal across the production areas: Packing of manufactured products into boxes, bags, crates (Moulding and Assembly, or into wood u-frames (Extrusion). Ensuring quality standards are being achieved at all times and support with inspection Ensure all relevant data is captured / collected and entered onto appropriate systems Preparation of relevant packing materials for each production batch Booking of product onto IFS (if required) Transportation of products to Warehouse, Working Progress or other finished goods storage dependent on product type Support with continuous improvement activities Ensure a clean and safe working area is maintained for yourself and others Ensure all waste / scrap products are separated into their designated containers Skills & Requirements: Understanding of packaging and visual and dimensional quality requirements as defined on product information sheets (PIS) Ability to operate appropriate MHE (after training) Knowledge of company specific H&S and Environmental requirements Trained in Safe Systems of Work (SSW’s) appropriate to activities and tasks being undertaken Flexibility and adaptability to move between the production areas.
