We’re looking for a Corporation Tax Compliance Manager to join us in Bradford. The UK Corporate Tax Manager will be responsible for tax compliance and reporting activities performed within Liberty Blume on behalf of its customers. This will include agreeing delivery requirements with customers and delivering a service in line with those expectations with a focus on driving a culture of continuous process improvement and efficiency enabled by technology. The overall objective of the Team is to provide a Corporation Tax return service which helps our customers to follow all applicable tax laws and regulations, file all of their tax returns on time and to pay the right amount of tax, when due. Our Team engage with the appropriate accounting, tax, commercial, legal and treasury teams in order to ensure that our goals are met. We aim to provide services that cover multiple local jurisdictions where the tax rules are complex and compliance obligations differ from territory to territory. The Liberty Blume team is based in Bradford, UK. We work alongside with tax colleagues predominantly located in Leeds, London, Denver and Amsterdam. What will you be doing? Hands on delivery of high quality UK corporate tax compliance service – Prepare and review UK Corporate Tax computations and tax accounting provision calculations for simple, medium and complex trading and non trading entities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to Liberty Blume clients. Understand our clients and run the processes – Quickly develop strong understanding of our clients’ businesses. This includes understanding and feeding into wider compliance timetables, understanding client specific issues, detailed process mapping and in-depth analysis of data for inclusion in the computations. Client relationships – Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact for all client service delivery matters, proactively addressing and resolving any issues. Junior management – Provide training, guidance, and effective management to junior members of the tax team for their continuous development. Delegation of appropriate tasks, ongoing support and provision of regular feedback to juniors is essential. Collaboration – Drive seamless collaboration with other Liberty Blume finance teams in order to obtain all financial and supporting information required to prepare deliverables, and with wider Liberty Global tax teams to guarantee the accurate reflection of tax technical matters in tax returns. Tax reporting – Work as part of the team to execute, and oversee junior members of staff for, the preparation and review of international quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations in accordance with IFRS (and US GAAP). We tend to look for people with: ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified 3-4 years' minimum experience of working in a Corporate Tax compliance and/or reporting role Exposure to UK tax issues such as CIR, CFC, Hybrids, R&D, Capital Allowances, Share Based Payments relief, Group Simplified Arrangements, Consortium Relief, etc Knowledge of Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE and Microsoft Excel Regular direct contact, presentation and delivery to clients Continuous process improvement mindset Experience working in a matrix environment where relationships with customers and/or other teams and departments is essential to the success of the Team What’s in it for you?
