The Role
  • Assisting fee earners with all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions. 
  • Opening new files, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all documentation is up to date. 
  • Drafting initial letters, forms and standard documents under supervision. 
  • Liaising with clients, agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties to obtain and relay information. 
  • Carry out searches from local authorities, environmental and land registry.  To review results and communicate findings. 
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, post and telephone calls. 
  • Preparing contract packs and completion statements. 
  • Assisting with the exchange of contracts and completion processes. 
  • Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering and data protection regulations. 
  • General administration duties, such as photocopying, canning, filing and data entry.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a legal or conveyancing environment is desirable but not essential 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities. 
  • Competence in using legal case management systems and Microsoft office applications. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. 
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information. 
  • The ability to be proactive, flexible and adaptable to meet client needs. 
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent client service.
  • It would be preferred to have a law degree, completion of a recognised paralegal qualification or working towards the SQE.
