A rapidly scaling consumer brand in the home and lifestyle space is building the finance and operational foundation to support its next stage of growth. With a strong online retail presence, expanding distribution, and manufacturing operations across North America, the company is seeking a senior finance leader to strengthen and modernize its accounting function.
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting and finance operations in a high-growth, multi-entity environment. This role carries significant visibility, with responsibility for U.S. and Canadian accounting compliance, inventory and supply chain accounting, and leadership of a growing team.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge, operational accounting experience in manufacturing and distribution, and a passion for using AI and workflow automation to drive efficiency and scale.
Lead the accounting function, including month-end close, consolidations, reporting, and internal controls across U.S. and Canadian entities.
Manage and mentor a growing finance team, fostering accountability and best practices.
Oversee inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and supply chain accounting within manufacturing and distribution.
Support online retail accounting processes, including payment processors, sales channels, and returns.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Canadian ASPE/IFRS standards.
Implement scalable workflows with an emphasis on automation and AI-driven solutions.
Provide timely financial reporting and insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
Serve as the lead contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
Strengthen financial policies, procedures, and controls to support rapid growth.
CPA designation required.
7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
Proven experience in manufacturing, distribution, and online retail environments.
Strong technical knowledge of both U.S. GAAP and Canadian accounting standards.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a team.
Track record of improving workflows using automation and AI tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
