About the role: You will work alongside the existing Client Support Team to provide support to our team of Insurance Advisers, who advise customers on income protection insurance, life insurance, critical illness cover and private health insurance. You will also work closely with customers and insurers. The main duties of the role include: Completing insurance applications with customers over the telephone Producing letters for customers detailing our recommendation(s) Data migration of customer file information for external compliance checks Contacting insurers on behalf of our advisers to gain underwriting decisions Providing assistance to customers at the point of claim and when setting up trusts Development opportunities Each department of the business has a clear progression pathway plan and all staff have their own personal development plan. The company is happy to sponsor staff through professional qualifications with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Previous employees in this role have progressed to Senior Client Support and Adviser / Consultant positions within the department or have chosen to move across to our employee benefits department. Although it takes time, effort and passing professional exams, there is a clear pathway to build a financial services career. Required skills: When completing applications, you will be asking customers to disclose medical information which can be complex and sensitive, so it is essential that you have a sensitive and professional telephone manner. Equally important is a high attention to detail, as the process involves careful data entry. You will use standard office software, such as Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as in-house systems, so you will need to have solid computer skills.
