The role: We are looking for a Client Relationship Manager, Energy and Infra who will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Firm's Clients & Sectors strategy, working hand-in-hand with relationship partners to drive profitable revenue generation, proactive and targeted client engagement, and a stand-out client experience, informed by strategic client feedback and backed by CRM/BD best practice and best-in-class CRM infrastructure. Your key responsibilities Use knowledge of the energy & infra client's business and external data, work with partners to drive white-space analysis and opportunity spotting with the Firm's Enterprise and Sector priority energy & infra clients to develop new business, focusing on those opportunities that will generate complex, high-margin work. Draw on the firm's infrastructure (sectors, practices, knowledge lawyers, etc.) to ensure we stay top of mind with our energy & infra clients with proactive, targeted and timely client engagement, aimed at positioning the firm for complex, strategic work. Manage and lead a portfolio of clients within the energy & infra sector and coordinate the delivery of client services across multiple practice areas. Develop and manage action-oriented client account plans, with a focus on executing on the identified white-spaces, ensuring the client team structure is aligned to identified opportunities and focused on selling the entire Firm. Monitor and track key performance indicators on account management performance, revenue growth, cross-selling and origination, client retention, competitor activity, and formulate and implement appropriate response strategies and action plans. Facilitate structured and independent client feedback and promote the benefits of such feedback to relationship partners; where appropriate, support such conversations, working with the relevant relationship partners and other senior interviewers, and ensure key action points and recommendations emerging from client feedback are acted upon and clients are informed of how we are addressing their feedback. Develop strong and productive relationships with key contacts at the energy & infra client, as well as with client relationship partners, sector leaders and other members of the BDM team and the wider business teams community (pricing, billing, legal and risk, etc.) and leverage those connections to drive a stand-out client experience. Champion knowledge on emerging trends and best practice in account management, and continuously develop and share insights with relationship partners and the wider team, and lead client onboarding and ensure smooth implementation of services and account management. Support the implementation of Salesforce and champion its benefits and uptake with relationship partners; use Salesforce to effectively manage client activities and drive connectivity and transparency with key clients within the CRM portfolio. Ensure accurate records of client interactions, progress on client plans and business development activities in the required software and platforms. Refine process improvement opportunities to ensure seamless client experience, focusing on operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Maintain relevant client procurement portals. What we’re looking for: Client development experience in legal or professional services. Strong relationship building skills with ability to develop trust with energy & infra sector clients. Knowledge of energy industry trends, including renewables, traditional energy, and infra infrastructure. Strong understanding of CRM tools and best practice in client relationship management. Experience in identifying strategic opportunities and helping win work from energy & infra clients. Experience in client-facing roles highly desirable. Comfortable with data, analytics, and reporting to drive decision-making. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills (writing, presentations, reporting). Understanding of cross-selling strategies in professional services. Knowledge of account planning methodologies and client development strategies.
