Career Opportunity Internal/External Child-minding Part-time (1 day per week for 3 hours) until October 28, 2025 It is the mission of Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to broadly provide Inuit-specific programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Inuit and to encourage and support similar programs for Inuit across the country. TI has over 30 years of highly successful experience in crafting the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of effective, client-centered services. By incorporating the principles of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ), TI continues to deliver quality programs and services that directly benefit our growing urban Inuit population. Responsibilities: Interact directly with and supervise children while their mothers are attending onsite EarlyON programs. Facilitate, adapt and modify activities designed to meet the needs of children. Follow proper procedures for sign in and releasing children (if required). Follow all safety protocols and procedures provided by the program. To maintain confidentiality of all information related to the children, their families, and staff. Set up and clean-up of the child-minding area, ensuring all supplies and equipment that were used during child minding are returned for proper storage. Inform program staff of any damaged or missing items. Qualifications This position will be suitable for students in ECE programs or those interested in gaining working experience with children. Must be reliable and dependable. Must have at least volunteering experience working with children ages 18months ‐ 10 years in a group setting (child minding, childcare, preschool or day camp etc.) Clear Vulnerable Sector Check with results acceptable to TI is required. Willingness to provide 3 References. Baby Sitting Certificate is preferred and current First Aid Certificate is required. **Acceptable combinations of education and experience may be considered for this position.
