Cell Culture Supervisor Responsible for managing and developing a team responsible for carrying out cell based assays on finished goods and Raw material testing within an ISO accredited laboratory environment. Essential functions include Cell culture and Virology test methods. Assures compliance with ISO13485: 21CFR part 820 and other appropriate regulations and standards Essential Functions: Provide guidance and instruction to a team of technicians and scientists with the key objective of meeting team metrics and ensuring products release on time. Lead day-to-day activities in the laboratory environment. Extensive knowledge in laboratory practical testing procedures in areas of Cell Culture and/or Virology test methods, both would be highly beneficial . Pro-actively work closely with Production, Technical and Manufacturing to resolve quality related issues arising from customer complaints/concerns and internal Incidents. Responsible for the facilitation of investigation and resolution of related quality issues. Constantly strive to enhance efficiency in procedures and processes without a compromise in quality Identity and implement opportunities across the operational facility. Able to be independently decisive where appropriate and work on own initiative. Perform statistical analysis to review trends in data and implement. Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and solution to complex problems Constantly strive to enhance efficiency in procedures and processes without compromise in quality Provide QC support, resource, guidance and expertise to QC staff and projects Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent work experience. Experience: Extensive Laboratory testing experience preferably in a cell culture lab environment and can demonstrate excellent working knowledge of scientific principles. Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment, effectively lead peers, and interact with all levels of the company. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external development team members are essential. Contacts: Will liaise extensively with all other department within the operational department. Customer and external lab communication is also expected within this role Working Conditions: Works in a laboratory and office environment. Is required to lift up to 40 lbs. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
