Job Title: Carton Operator (12hr shifts rotating days and nights) £30,175 per annum Department: Packaging Reports to: Packaging Supervisor Overall Role Purpose The purpose of the role is to ensure that the cartons are correctly assembled according to customer specifications. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Operates the carton machine Loads machine cartridge with flat pack cartons Adjust the machine settings to customer specified carton dimensions Conduct basic maintenance of the carton machine and maintains the cleanliness of own working area Complete a thorough handover at the end of each shift to counterpart on following shift. Ensures own work is compliant with relevant health and safety, environmental and GMP practice Maintain centre lining of equipment and report and deviations Escalate any issues affecting performance of area in a timely manner to supervisor or manager BBS (Behavioural Based Safety) – responsible for your own safety and for those around you Carry out sanitation duties as required, including shutdown Remain at your workstation until relieved at shift handover Carry out “on the job” guidance, training, support for colleagues as required Report and escalate production issues with a supervisor or manager in a timely manner Any other reasonable task as requested by your supervisor/manager Can operate PPPT KPI’S influenced by the role KPI’S Quality complaints BBS Area GMP score Contributing to machine efficiency’s Role Factors Stakeholders Packaging Supervisor Packing Specialist FLT Engineering Machine Operator Multi-Skilled Operator Qualifications Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent). Lamb Weston chemical training, H+S, GMP, PPPT Experience 2-3 years’ manufacturing experience.
