We are looking for a Business Development Analyst. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding of new Portfolio Managers (PMs), as well as contributing to platform-wide strategic initiatives. This position sits at the core of the firm’s growth engine—interfacing with senior leadership, PM candidates, and cross-functional teams including risk, technology, data and operations. Role Responsibilities: Portfolio Manager Sourcing & Evaluation • Map the landscape across major strategy verticals and continuously build a pipeline of high-quality prospects. • Analyse track records, risk profiles, drawdowns, capacity and style to assess commercial viability. • Prepare structured memos for internal use (fit, economics, platform requirements) • Coordinate due diligence across a variety of internal functions. Market & Competitor Intelligence • Maintain a current view of competitor platform models, compensation norms, strategy expansions and talent movements. • Produce concise internal memos summarising market developments and opportunities. • Identify emerging PMs, strategies or market dislocations worth exploring. Lifecycle Management & Onboarding • Own the CRM process, from sourcing to due diligence, approval, and onboarding. • Support cross-functional onboarding to reduce friction and shorten timelines. • Maintain and refine internal processes, documentation, and approval flows. Strategic Projects • Support new strategy vertical exploration and geographic expansion. • Contribute to firm-wide strategic planning, cost analysis and infrastructure improvement. • Analyse platform-level PM returns to identify portfolio risks, gaps and opportunities. Candidate Specifications: • 2–3 years in an Asset Manager, Investment Bank, Allocator, or top-tier strategy consulting firm. • Exposure to financial products and buy-side approaches. • Experience working with financial data or performance analysis advantageous. • Strong analytical ability. • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. • Strong written communication and presentation skills. • Able to synthesise qualitative and quantitative information into clear commercial insights. • Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams.
