Company: Ocean Hotels Barbados Job Summary The Boutique Experience Ambassador is responsible for delivering a refined and personalized retail experience at the Pink Mango Gift Shop, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction in keeping with O2 Beach Club & Spa’s vision to be a leader and innovator in Caribbean luxury hospitality. This role combines exceptional guest service with creative retail management, including visual merchandising, event planning, and local vendor curation, to enhance the boutique’s appeal, drive revenue, and showcase the best of locally made luxury products. Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate Pride, Passion, Professionalism and Respect Consistently demonstrate O2 Beach Club & Spa’s service Philosophy in work performance, relationships and interactions Comply with O2 Beach Club & Spa’s standards, policies, procedures and guidelines. Maintain confidentiality of O2 Beach Club & Spa’s financial and business (client, service, partnerships, etc.) Consistently Deliver Luxury Service External - Guests Visitors Product & Property Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the property, its amenities, and all products and services offered at O2 Beach Club & Spa. Guest Service Excellence: Take ownership of guest inquiries and service requests, ensuring prompt, professional responses. Record and communicate any unfulfilled special requests to the Front of House Management team. Sales & Revenue Generation: Utilize creative sales techniques to exceed guest expectations, maximize revenue, and ensure consistent availability of high-demand products. Event Planning & Engagement: Plan and execute creative pop-up retail events strategically aligned with occupancy levels and guest flow to drive sales and participation. Vendor Relations & Market Trends: Maintain awareness of market trends and recommend new local vendors and product lines that align with the brand’s luxury positioning and commitment to locally made goods. Visual Merchandising & Shop Presentation: Ensure the boutique’s visual appeal through regular updates of window and in-store displays in line with sales strategies. Decorate and merchandise the shop for special occasions and themed events to enhance guest engagement. Shop Operations: Maintain cleanliness, order, and adherence to operating procedures while remaining visible and available during scheduled hours. Cash Handling & Compliance: Accurately process transactions in accordance with O2 Beach Club & Spa’s cash and credit payment procedures. Business Development: Explore opportunities to expand boutique access to external guests to further drive traffic and revenue and make recommendations to Front of House management. Internal – Colleagues Assist colleagues and perform additional duties in other areas as necessary Communicate relevant work-related information to colleagues and management team in a timely and professional manner. Take ownership for appropriately responding to co-worker queries and providing service requests Work harmoniously with all colleagues, communicate special requests that could not be met, and liaise with maintenance and IT to ensure the proper functioning of gift shop equipment and systems. Practice Safety, Security and Conservationism Adhere to manufacturers’ guidelines and O2 Beach Club & Spa’s standards in the use and maintenance of tools, equipment, supplies, machinery, and vehicles. Adhere to best practice occupational safety and health standards, security guidelines, safety and emergency procedures.
